“In addition to a deep commitment to making a positive social impact on and giving back to the community, Doing Good Works has a track record of consistently meeting and exceeding expectations, providing excellent customer experience, and procuring high-quality promotional merchandise. ICAD’s partnership with DGW proved to be a great success — the holiday gift boxes turned out beautifully and were very well received by the ICAD team!”

people received coaching
A job with Doing Good Works provides a safe working environment with opportunities for growth while supporting our team’s wellbeing and development as a person outside of work. Through coaching programs & mentorship initiatives our employees get paid while they develop new life skills and build upon existing ones
people accessed financial coaching
We equip all of our team members with financial literacy tools through our partner, Spring Financial. Through Spring, our team can access financial goal-setting tools such as budgeting and one-on-one coaching sessions so they can make informed decisions about their financial health.
Lyft rides to work
We believe everyone should have the opportunity to learn and develop work skills, even if transportation is a barrier to work. That’s why we cover the cost of Lyft rides to and from work for our onsite team members who do not have an affordable transportation option.
When we found out one of our Lyft program members got hired for a new job, we purchased him a bicycle to get to and from work.
hospitals received PPE through Doing Good Works
We know that staying healthy has been a major challenge for the past two years, as we’ve struggled worldwide. As part of our 2021 initiatives, Doing Good Works took the opportunity to expand its reach through the donation of masks in the U.S. and abroad. We are thankful that we could do a small part in helping to take care of the world we live in as we continue battling this ongoing virus.
Foster your Greatness speakers
All of our team members, including interns and packout members were offered trauma-informed training. This training session teaches about understanding oneself and how past trauma can affect our current lives. The session is designed to help promote healing, growth, and insight to people of various backgrounds and experiences.
Through a course of several weeks, we also had 10 speakers from a variety of professional backgrounds speak to our employees and interns. They virtually presented their life and career stories and gave the opportunity for open discussion.
In 2021, our impact investments increased by 184% from the previous year. In 2022, we expect this growth to continue as we invest in hiring, supply chain, personal growth, and community partnerships.
We’re committed to developing jobs for people who experienced foster care. Through our friends at Purpose Printery, we have plans to scale workforce development programs across the country. To learn more about our community-based print shop that employs people impacted by challenging life experiences, check out their website.
We are broadening our supply chain and vendor selection to reflect our company’s diversity and sustainability efforts. We will continue selecting environmentally beneficial products that support a diverse economy. We are aligning with BIPOC firms, women-owned businesses, Certified B Corps, and other organizations that are doing good and making a difference in the world.
We see personal success stories day in and out, but we want to share these stories with you! In 2022, we’ll be keeping tabs on that development and we will continue to develop tools that help us track growth over time.
Creating meaningful relationships with our community is critical to the success of people who experienced foster care. We will continue developing partnerships with experts in the 8 life domains to bring opportunities to our team.
If you work for a business that positively impacts people in finance, education, employment, housing and transportation, health, life skills, identity, or relationships and community, let’s create opportunities together this year!
